Leave it to one of my kids to do something weird. Lily had another fainting episode last week, but no head injury was involved, in fact nothing had really happened to her at all. We were walking in the door from Anna's ballet class and she was a little upset about something and Chris picked her up, she was crying but not really hard, and her entire body stiffened up, she clenched her teeth and her fists and proceeded to go completely limp. After lots of shouting and shaking from us she wakes up after about a minute and is quiet and lethargic. This makes the third time that she has done this. So we went to the doctor and apparently it's called Breath Holding Spells. Occurs when the child is extremely upset, frightened or has suffered a bad fall, etc. Completely normal, but not very common. It's really the creepiest feeling seeing her completely unconscious and unresponsive. I guess it's a natural reflex in some children, totally uncontrolled. She said the only thing we could expect is for her to do it again and eventually she'll grow out of it. I'm just really nervous that she might do it when we are not close by and fall and crack her head open. Great stuff. Just a little more drama to add to the mix!

Poor Lily Reece! Give hugs and kisses from her Auntie Brooke.
Poor thing. Poor mama and daddy too, that has to be so scary.
I feel so bad for Little Lily...I'm really glad it wasn't something more serious, though.
Ashli, thanks for stopping by my blog and for the congrats for the grandbaby.
You have absolutely beeeuutiful little children. I see why Brooke raves all the time about them.
Gawd, That is so scary- I can't imagine seeing her in that state. So sorry. -Camille
