long week

The big ballet is this weekend and we have had lots of extra practices and rehearsals, that has seemed to add to the normal stresses of the week. It started a little ugly on mother's day when I woke up with "the mother of all hangovers" and that's a whole other story. I did get some great gifts from hubs and kids though! New running shoes and a ipod shuffle in a fun blue color, all loaded with lots of my favorite songs, super sweet and oh so thoughtful! Anyhow, that whole day on and off I kept thinking that Stella felt a little warm, but things were happening and I was still feeling sorry for myself and kept forgetting to take her temp, yeah I know, great mom! Fast forward 24 hours to Monday afternoonish, well okay, 5pm I thought she felt hot again and got the scanner out and sure enough she was on fire with a 104, after I had drug her around all day to the gym, target, and ballet. Mom of the year, I know. Well, crap now it was too late to call the dr , so we went first thing on Tues and of course it was viral, but the poor babe had a throat full of blisters too. I felt terrible, thought she was being bratty over teething.
On Wed we went to the bank and the big girls were being really loud and really annoying and on top of that had decided to unbuckle to look for a dropped toy. We were almost home for the day, so their was end in sight. I was telling the girls for the tenth time to get back in their seats and buckled when I dropped the capsule thingy, and it proceeded to roll underneath my van, lovely. I sat there for a minute with my head in my hands wishing I was somewhere else for a second. Then I wiggled out of the tight space between my car and the the capsule drop thing, my phone slides out and underneath as well, there are also about 4 cars waiting anxiously behind me, staring at my every move and waiting for me to hurry the hell up and get out the way! I finally managed to locate the capsule and my cell with direction from the cute teller guy who was trying to help over the intercom.

Fast forwarding to the end of the week Anna has been coughing on and off for the past few days, her asthma like cough, but today was worse. She came home from school, had lunch like normal and then went to sleep for 2 1/2 hours. People, she is 6, and has not had a nap, seriously not even one for the past year at least! So I immediately start to panic and think she is probably going to be to sick for the ballet this Sunday. Knowing full well, if I take her to the dr they will probably tell me it's viral, I had to go anyway to make sure it wasn't something that they could treat. So after we picked Lily up from mothers day out we headed back to the dr for the second time this week, I enjoy keeping them in business. It ended up being her asthma and we got some new inhalers and some steroids to give her a boost and she should good to go for Sunday. So we went on to ballet practice (Anna insisted). We were about to make our home for day, Stella was fussing, so I turned around and went back to the studio to make her a bottle for the 20 min ride back home. She took most of it and started to fuss again, hmm. Got home and got into the house and I start feeling something wet all over my side and put her down and realize her diaper has leaked all over me and it's kind of diarrheaish! I am trying to clean her up as Chris walks in the door, finally! He informs me that he isn't feeling very well either. I am hoping for a brighter weekend. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Anna will make it to the ballet and be fabulous. She has after all been waiting 2 years to be in this damn production after all!
On another note, happy 30th birthday to my dear friend Leslie! We will be doing it up big tomorrow night at her party, so excited!

Later people! I am confident that I will posting some super cute pics of the girl from Coppelia this weekend!

God, I am so ready for this ballet to be over and out of the way for the sheer fact that I won't have to worry about someone getting sick or breaking their arm (oh yea, that was your worry!) It's gonna be so cute but I am DONE with practice and rehearsals and late nights!

Sounds like a nonstop week! Hope everyone is feeling better by now and the ballet went well! Brek has asthma too, she's too young for an inhaler still, but the breathing treatments seem to do the trick.

Good luck to Anna in her first ballet recital! She and Grace will be perfect, I just know it! I hope next week is better. I know things will slow down a bit, so that's good. Thanks for the birthday shout-out! The party was great and I'm so glad you and Chris came! You two rock!
